Tawau!

Here's a map of Tawau. It's a small town which is growing at a steady pace. In my last year there, I saw the new airport constructed. Updates from friends ....there's BodyShop...(wooHOO) and Watson ...and Guardian. Gosh! We're moving up in the world.

I remember the days getting darker faster. Everyone sleeps early in Tawau. I'm not sure about the rest of the folks in Sabah. I used to peel my eyes open at 6:00am sharp. The sun shining does help somewhat. A sharp contrast to moodily waking up in the dark and scrapping every ounce of energy to leap out of bed for a cold shower these days.

My favourite haunt would be "Lucky Bookstore, where I got my supply of Hello magazines. The uncle there looked glum most days. I preferred the sister. She and I would get talking some days.
